Why stop here

A mosque facing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Saladin's son built it in 1216. Its minaret is one of a pair.

Look for

• The minaret, square and plain.
• The church parvis, across from the door.
• The second minaret, at the Khanqah, on the far side.

Context

The other minaret stands at the Khanqah al-Salahiyya, north of the church. The two were built to the same height, one on each side. Walk the Via Dolorosa and you pass the other one.

To the next stop

This is the last stop. The church courtyard is just north.
